An archetypical Spanish armchair. The friar chair was used in Convents in the 16th and 17th centuries in Italy and Spain. The back and the arms are completely straight, making a sober posture of the person who sits. The seat and the back are made of leather with round bronze nails, the only ornamentation of the chair. The back legs have a slight obtuse angle, and the arms are completely straight with an end in a soft curve. The chair is simple, with a lack of decoration, that makes for a timeless accessory for the home. In perfect condition.
