Girl surrounded by flowers
Oil on canvas
50.39 by 29 inches unframed
60.6 by 39.7 inches framed
Esposito understands reality in his own way, critical and rooted in realism, and that is why he presents us with an allegory of youth and beauty embodied in a woman, almost a girl, who looks at us with a sweet and somewhat sad expression. The melancholy of the young woman is real and not symbolic, away from all artifice, and is therefore even more beautiful, as she is surrounded by the simplest and most beautiful ornaments, the lattice of flowers and birds that wrap her.
